Services Provided by Stansted Parish Council:
- Maintenance of the play areas in the village i.e. Recreation Ground, Bentfield Green & Pond, Mountfitchet Green, War Memorial, the skatepark and all public open spaces.
- Street-lighting – maintenance of about 80% of the village lights and associated running costs.
- Grass Cutting-play areas, all land owned by The Parish Council including the Windmill, Crafton Green and Tennis Club.We also look after the Memorial Gardens and Fountain. We cut some grass verges within the Parish Boundaries as agents for Essex County Council.
- Full time litter collector – Gerard Frogley.
- Maintenance of Stansted Cemetery.
- Financial support for Stansted Youth Centre.
- Financial support for the Windmill.
- Annual Bonfire and Firework event.
- The Christmas Fayre.

- We sell a range of recycling bags from the Parish Office.Garden waste sacks are £1.20 each, Rolls of kitchen food waste bags are £4.99 and blue trade sacks for business use are £1.87.
The Parish Council is also the ‘first port of call’ for many residents enquiring about public services. We are happy to put you in touch with the appropriate agency to deal with any issue you have and if possible take up problems on your behalf.
