... Teddy bears flew, pop guns popped and china smashed on a mostly fine bank holiday Monday as this annual village event was enjoyed by all those who turned out to make it a successful day.

A few spots of rain at lunchtime gave way to a fine afternoon. The Bric-a-brac, bouncy castle, and of course the cakes, were as popular as ever and many enjoyed a Hot Dog or two from the BBQ as they took in the many stalls on Windmill Field.  Tours of the renovated windmill were also on offer and many saw the sails turning in the breeze.
