Bentfield Pond Clean Up...
In the Autumn of 2007, with the help of the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV), we began a three year programme to restore the pond back to its natural beauty. Vegetation in and around the pond had become very overgrown leaving only a small area of water that resembled little more than a puddle - drying out completely during the summer months.
We have now completed the third year of the programme and can clearly see the benefits of maintaining the pond's habitat - you might even see a duck!
This year's date for the working party was Sunday 6th December when we were joined once again by the BTCV and their volunteers.
